Who we are

The International Academic Network on Bioethics is directed by Brigitte Feuillet, Professor of Law at the University of Rennes I, member of the Institut Universitaire de France and director of the Centre de Recherche Juridique de l'Ouest (CRJO, I.O.D.E. UMR CNRS 6262).
The IANB is made up of permanent members who are academics from different countries and diverse disciplines. These permanent members make up the steering committee who define the Network’s activity. At present, there are 22 members.
Within the steering committee, a smaller bureau prepares the annual meeting of the steering committee (agenda, issues...) organises the workshops and follows up on the publications.
The IANB also has a number of associated members who are academics or professionals with particular expertise in any one theme adopted by the Network.

Permanent members

The permanent members of the IANB are academics from 18 different countries representing various cultures ( the European,  American, African and Asian continents are represented).
They make up the steering committee of the IANB which articulates the activities of the Network.

The bureau meets once or twice a year to take any necessary decisions for the functioning of the Network, to arrange the annual meeting of the steering committee, to organise the Workshops and to follow up on the IANB’s publications.
